Our clients wide range of services has developed over 30 years from stage lighting equipment and venue installations. Today they have an extensive portfolio of sound and lighting equipment for both indoor and outdoor use, live event production services to television broadcasting, mobile ice rinks and much more. An opportunity has now arisen for a Quality Manager to joint their team.
This is the ideal role for an ILM (or equivalent) qualified candidate with a successful track record of improving equipment maintenance and quality, looking to develop their career with a leading company.
As a Quality Manager you will be responsible for managing and improving our clients hire equipment assets and associated facilities.
In this role, you focus will be on undertaking a full evaluation of our clients equipment and ensuring they achieve their aim of becoming leaders in their industry. Providing effective line management for warehouse staff responsible for equipment preparation, maintenance and repair, you will recruit and train staff as necessary.
You other duties will include:
- Formulating remedial action, operating and continuous improvement plans, presenting your proposals
- identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, monitoring and refining their effectiveness
- Developing lifecycle plans for all hire equipment
- Working with the hire service quality manager and hire logistics team and ensuring a coherent approach is adopted to enable the customer services, order fulfilment and asset maintenance aspects of the hire function to complement each other
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A successful track record of delivering and managing systematic improvements in equipment maintenance and quality
- Good line management skills and, at a minimum, an ILM Level 3 First Line Management qualification (or equivalent)
- An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering maintenance
- Continuous improvement and warehouse management experience
Additionally, as a Quality Manager you must be able to embraces change and have strong leadership skills. You should be a confident communicator with good written and verbal skills. You should also have excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
